Rockin the Manic Depressive Lifestyle
April 10, 2008
Bipolar disorder is a funny beast, not the least of which because it is not funny and hardly palatable enough to be considered a worthy beast (hail the mighty bison/ffloe). Jokes aside, I do prefer the medical communities clever shift in nomenclature: telling people I’m bipolar somehow makes me feel less crazy. Medications have proved mostly catastrophic, and though my current regiment of Lamictal and Lithium seems to have me stable it price is a marked dullness. Never mind that I cheat and refuse to take more than 50mg of the former and 200 of the latter, if this is the cost of sanity I think I’ll just wait for a sale.
As this is my maiden post, I’ll warn you straight away that I tend towards shameless rant-blogging, if you like that, great, if not, fuck off.

I think I prefer just plain crazy, liked it better before it had any diagnostic name. But also, I like manic depression better than bipolar, which sounds like a trendy electrode.
